Thought my viewers would like to see an e-mail I received from the great granddaughter of Maurice Hurling - another happy collector!

     "Sorry that I haven't written sooner, we've been dashing about visiting relatives over Christmas and have just got back.
     Just a little note to say Thank-You for all your help in finding and posting the Maurice Hurling books in time for Christmas.  My family was absolutely thrilled to receive them.

Jan Series - Allan Bernstein Collection

Whew! Well its about time right guys and gals? I finally got around to cataloging the greatest private collection of ventriloquist books in the world!

In the following list you will find over 200 books. Most came from Bernstein's collection, however as I came across some "odds and ends" I included them as well.

Previously, the "packaging" of books has been very popular and many collectors asked me to do more on this list. Many books were tough to part with, and of course I will still maintain a healthy (but smaller) collection for myself.

So here goes. Pull up a thermos of coffee and some "no-Doze" and enjoy the list! Again, please keep in mind that many are one of a kind. So if you want it let me know. Once they are gone that's it! As my entire book list sells, I will catalog more of the Bernstein Collection. I'm sure this will be enough to wet any diehard's appetite! I know you will treasure these gems as I have over the years!

  148. Paul Winchell's Personal Photo Promotional Album
    This apparently was a photo album that Paul complied to shop his ideas around with the networks. It comes in a brown slipcase, which reads "The Wacky World of PaulWinchell". Apparently he did the slipcover himself in various colors of magic marker. The photo album is a 12 x 10 hard back and 18 page long. It opens with Paul's bio: his work with Jerry, Knucklehead, TV credits, etc. It goes on to his proposal for a TV series that would combine "elements of fantasy and fresh ideas directed at a wholesome market". It then breaks down the first 13 shows with Paul playing EACH character. All the photos are in color. I've never seen any before. These are probably out of his private collection, or they were shot just for this album. All his famous characters are here: Jerry Mahoney, Knucklehead, Ozwald, and pictures of Paul in full costumes and makeup to play a doctor, a ghoul, a gangster, Charlie Chaplan, and more. The slipcover is stamped "Paul Winchell" along with is address at the bottom (one on each side). This is a one of a kind! This is the last word in a Paul Winchell collectable. It is an incredible piece of Winchell memorabilia as well as TV history. I bet even Paul forget about this album!
